Throughout our history, Ziebart International Corporation has been actively involved in the International Franchise Association and it's executives have chaired a number of key committees.
Entrepreneurs interested in areas outside the United States have three levels of opportunities with Ziebart; a master franchise, a regional franchise or a location-only franchise. Master franchisees assume responsibility for developing and sub-franchising a network of stores in an entire country or specific area, usually referred to as the 'licensed territory'. A regional franchisee has a region that he will develop an agreed upon number of stores, but he owns and operates all the stores himself, and is not licensed to sub-franchise, like the master franchisee. Location-only franchises are self-explanatory. Each franchisee can own more than one location-only franchise. Ziebart business opportunities offered in the United States are location-only. Ziebart's staff works closely with each franchisee to develop his business and marketing plans. Ziebart also conducts business and technical training for the franchisee and/or the master franchisee's trainers, who subsequently instruct the sub-franchisees within their territory. Combining the standardized Ziebart business format with each master franchisee's knowledge of their country has grown the Ziebart name world wide. All Ziebart franchisees receive benefits offered by Ziebart's franchise support operations, as well as the financial and psychological rewards of operating their own successful business.
All of the franchise formats pay royalty. Sub-franchisees pay royalties, based on a percentage of their sales, to their master franchisee. The master franchisee pays a portion of all the royalty earned in his territory to Ziebart International. Regional and location-only franchisees pay a percentage of their sales in royalty. Royalty is paid for the use of the trade names and trademarks of Ziebart International Corporation and the ongoing support provided to each franchisee.
